Principally, through the songs, I hope to reach some of the formerly unreachable.
We live in time, where the questions are rarely “is this action/decision what’s best for my community”?
Our leaders, great and small, are prioritized by self. And we, in turn, act similarly. We expect and accept dishonestly/mediocrity to be deeply embedded within each equation, and live reacting to what our environment delivers
The next decade or so will determine the answer as to whether committed, patriotic Americans demand that their representative democracy becomes the bastion of freedom and equality as intended, or whether we continue to recede further towards the aristocracy our ancestors/founders fled from.
All ascensions politically are a byproduct of money. Access to influence and power are only offered to the loudest/strongest voices. Those voices are amplified by the billions that stand behind them.
At every turn, we must rewrite how our elected officials function. They, left unattended, will not self correct, for they are the beneficiaries of the bounty. The gatekeepers with the sole key.
